Join us on a musical sightseeing tour of the south-west of WA. Be enthralled by local country music talent from around Australia and marvel at the largest collection of country music memorabilia in Australia. Walk amongst the giant marri and karri trees and enjoy the ancient empire walk at the Valley of the Giants. Also included is a fun and fascinating boat cruise on the Kalgan Queen in Albany, a visit to the new purpose-built walkway at The Gap, and a visit to the National ANZAC Centre.

Day 1

We depart Perth and make our way to Boddington, a lovely little town set along the Hotham River foreshore. We enjoy morning tea here around the tranquil settings of the Lions Weir. Later we take a scenic drive through to Collie, our lunch stop. In the afternoon we head to the Harvey Dickson Country Music Centre, where we enjoy a tour with Harvey himself. Later we take a short drive through to Bridgetown, our accommodation for the next two nights. (D)

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast we take a short drive to Boyup Brook to enjoy the proceedings of the day and night, beginning with the the Ute and Truck Muster, which will take over the main streets of Boyup Brook on Saturday morning. There will also be bush poets and street entertainment, and stalls for you to explore. In the late afternoon we head to the Music Shell for a night of wonderful country music by several outstanding artists. Later we return to our accommodation. (B)

Day 3

Today we visit the beautiful forest towns and areas of the south-west. On the way we visit “Valley of the Giants”, William Bay and a winery in Denmark. Later we continue to Albany, our home for two nights. (B, D)

Day 4

This morning we enjoy a cruise on the Kalgan Queen riverboat – a sheltered water cruise where you can learn more about Albany’s history, dreamtime and wildlife. After lunch we head to the newly renovated Gap walkway and a visit to the National Anzac Centre, returning later to our accommodation. (B,D)

Day 5

Departing Albany, we have a stop at the Mt Barker Police Station Museum, before travelling to Kojonup for lunch. We will also have an afternoon stop at the Williams Woolshed, before making our way home to Perth, after a wonderful tour, arriving late afternoon. (B)
