Broome is one of WA’s most popular destinations famous for Cable Beach sunset camel rides and world class pearls. This tour caters for artists and non-artists, as there is much to see and do. If you are an artist, you will be spoilt for variety of choices to capture in your travel diaries, and if you aren’t an artist, the Broome Visitor Centre offers day trips and sightseeing that you can do.
Leonie Norton is an international artist, and author, taking travel sketching art groups both overseas and within Australia for many years. Her extensive experience makes this popular watercolour tutor highly in demand.
Arrive in Broome where you are met by the Aussie Redback Tours team. You have a short tour of the town before being transferred to your accommodation. Pre-dinner drinks and nibbles to get to know your tutor and fellow passengers tonight. (Dinner included)
Six days of sketching and exploring, capturing white sandy beaches, red rock cliffs, and turquoise ocean at Gantheaume Point; visiting the Broome Japanese Cemetery; and sketching people, old shops, and statues in China Town. We also visit Willie Creek Pearl farm, the town beach, Broome Museum, and Roebuck Bay, and have an afternoon at Cable Beach, followed by fish and chips sunset dinner. Highlights include the Thursday night markets and a movie at the famous Sun Pictures (own expense). (5 x Breakfasts and 3 x Dinners included)
