Day 1

We depart from the East Perth Train Terminal at 7.30 am, then head to York where we enjoy morning tea before continuing on to Albany. On the way, we pass through Narrogin, Wagin and Katanning. At Albany we settle into our accommodation and enjoy an evening meal with a “get-to-know-you” drink. (D)

Day 2

A wonderful drive through the forest to Walpole before an entertaining cruise on the Walpole and Nornalup Inlets, discussing the history of the estuary. After lunch in this quaint little town, we continue to the Valley of the Giants and enjoy a treetop walk amongst the giant karri trees. We return to Albany via Denmark. (B,D)

Day 3

This morning we visit the Torndirrup National Park to view the recently redeveloped Gap and Natural Bridge—
a must see. In the afternoon, it’s on to Albany’s Historic Whaling Station. Cheynes Beach Whaling Company was the last whaling company in Australia to be operating but closed in 1978. An interesting insight into our
whaling past. (B,D)

Day 4

Today we visit Mount Clarence for a tour of the National ANZAC Centre at Princess Royal Fort overlooking King George Sound. We return to Albany for lunch, before returning to Perth via Mount Barker, Kojonup and Williams. (B)
