Cairns to Perth, the Outback Way

Cairns to Perth, the Outback Way

If you have ever wanted to travel on classic Australian outback roads, discovering our history and meeting local townsfolk along the way, then we have the tour for you. We are very excited to announce a wonderful 15-day outback tour which departs Cairns on Sunday 06 August 2023. The tour heads diagonally through Australia and some of the most remote country in the world. We’ll traverse through three states – Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia and along the way we’ll visit amazing scenery, explore the ancient past and soak in the atmosphere of the remote heart country.

We begin with time in Cairns visiting Hartley’s crocodile farm, the rainforest town of Kuranda and taking a ride on the skyrail. Other highlights of the trip include a visit to Ravenshoe (the highest town in Queensland), a tour of the natural geological wonders – the Undara Lave Tubes, a visit to the historic town of Winton (home to Boulder opals that you can view and buy in town), visits to the Age of Dinosaurs Centre and the Waltzing Matilda Centre, Alice Springs (the popular gateway for exploring the Red Centre), Simpson’s Gap, Curtin Springs, Ayers Rock, the Olgas, the Great Central Road, the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie, and much more, ending in Perth on the last day.

This tour has something for everyone and by the end of the 15 days you will have learned so much about this great country of ours and we’re sure your cameras will be full of photographic memories.

The cost is priced from $5,750 (seniors) and this includes a flight from Perth to Cairns, daily breakfasts, nine dinners, motel accommodation, and many sightseeing attractions.
