Mount Augustus, also known as “Burringurrah” in the local Wajarri Aboriginal language, is one of the true wonders of Australia and the largest rock on the planet, and quite spectacular to behold. We also visit Walga Rock, a huge monolith, where you can see the largest gallery of Aboriginal rock paintings in Western Australia, and explore the cave which contains a range of paintings. On our way back to Perth we stop at the lovely little town of Yalgoo, where gold was discovered in the early 1890’s.
