Adelaide to Darwin – the “Explorers Way” begins in Adelaide and finishes in Darwin, with the trip heading north through the centre of Australia. On this tour, you’ll visit the famous opal mining town of Coober Pedy; you’ll see the unmissable Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas); you’ll stop at Alice Springs and the surrounding MacDonnell Ranges, waterholes and gorges; then there’s Tennant Creek, the eccentric Daly Waters Pub, Katherine, AND you’ll be treated to a cruise on the beautiful Katherine Gorge in the Nitmiluk National Park. This tour runs from 13 May to 26 May 2025, and prices start at $5,750 per person. The cost includes flights from and to Perth, and many other inclusions. Perth to Cairns – the “Longest Shortcut” begins in Perth and finishes in Cairns, cutting diagonally through Australia and some of the most remote country in the world. On this tour you’ll visit the goldfields region of Western Australia, before continuing on to the Great Central Road through salt lakes, ranges, and sand hills which all have a beauty that is iconically Australian. The tour continues through the Northern Territory and the Gibson Desert, and you’ll visit Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges, as well as the Simpson Desert. The tour passes through many outback towns made famous by poets and singers alike. On day nine the tour crosses into Queensland where the countryside slowly changes again, finally ending up in the tropical rainforest of Cairns.
